ALTOONA AND SOMERSET BRANCHES BECOME INDEPENDENT

The past several months have been a time of transition for two of New Day’s branch offices.  They will move from being New Day affiliates to independent status.  For many years it has been our desire to see these branches be self-supporting.  Both the Altoona and Somerset ministries have recruited volunteers in their respective communities to serve on a local Board of Directors. Volunteers have also been recruited to help with fund-raising efforts in the communities.

As of July 1, 2011, the Altoona branch of New Day officially became an independent non-profit ministry called Day One of Greater Altoona.

As of August 1, 2011, the Somerset branch of New Day became Sonrise Counselling Ministries. Each entity has formed its own Board of Directors made up of people from the local communities.

Increased local involvement will translate into increased local financial support for these ministries. They will continue to serve their communities with new leadership and hopefully new sources of support.  The New Day Board is excited that leadership in these communities has decided to take complete ownership of these long-standing successful NDI Christian ministries.  Pray for both as they embark on new journeys in Christian ministry.

 Trust in Christ

God has blessed New Day with dedicated prayer and financial partners like you, who help keep this ministry Christ-centered and life-changing.  We’d like to encourage you to place your trust in Christ, and not in this world around you. Some of you may be struggling, some of you are facing difficulties. Listen to these wonderful words from Proverbs, chapter 3...

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”  (Proverbs 3: 5-6 NKJV)
