Summer Ministry Program
Summer Program changes a little every year, but it always provides a great time for the children! The main part of the program offers "day camp" activities that the children attend throughout the week, as well as special outings to enjoy. Outings can include: trips to Idlewild, the Pittsburgh Zoo, the Carnegie Science Center, Shawnee, day hikes, and more! We also have a relationship with "Summer's Best Two Weeks" and send around 35+ youth to their Citikidz camp each summer and offer shorter 2-night camping trips at fun locations.
Along with the ASP and Summer Program, we sponsor regular Family Nights. Sometimes these are held on-site at the New Day office, or they are hosted by various churches around the community. We have had three to four churches help host and run the Family Nights, which include a sit-down meal for the whole family and fun activities that foster healthy relationship building.

Sports Ministry Program
Throughout the year we have on-going programs for youth sports and Bible Study. Like all of our ministry initiatives, the goal of the Sports Ministry is to impact youth and families in light of God's love and develop life skills for both on and off court. Check out our SPORTS MINISTRY page for more information and an application.
The Child & Youth Ministries at the Johnstown location of New Day include:
The After-School Program
The After-School Program (ASP) at New Day is designed to foster cognitive, emotional, social, and spiritual growth. We come alongside families' values in order to encourage positive character development and academic achievement, while creating meaningful, Biblical learning experiences.
The After-School Program operates out of New Day's main building located at 109 South Street in the Kernville area of Johnstown. The 2016/2017 After-School Program serves children in first grade through high school. During their time at New Day students are served supper, experience an interactive Bible lesson, receive homework help, and have opportunity to participate in a variety of activities offered throughout the year. These activities include but are not limited to: dance, drama, art, choir, piano, basketball skills, and playing organized games in New Day's full-sized gym.
